Announcement

The Menzies Group of Companies is pleased to announce the purchase of Ehmann Printworx and Canadian Signworx effective April 16, 2010. The Ehmann family has been a fixture in the Kelowna business community for the past 35 years and we would like to wish Vic Ehmann all the very best in his retirement from the print and sign industry.

We are very excited to introduce our Company to the thriving Okanagan business scene. Menzies Printers is a fourth generation, graphic communications company that has been serving clients in Western Canada since 1946. With locations in Kamloops, Calgary, Edmonton and Grande Prairie, we are thrilled to add these two Ehmann companies in Kelowna to our Group.

World Skills 2009 a Huge Success!

WorldSkills Calgary 2009 wrapped up on the weekend and has been praised by all as a complete success. Everyone I have talked to that took in the event was wowed by the enormity of the event and the incredible response from not only Calgarians but Canadians from across the country. I would like to thank everyone here in our shop and everyone in Edmonton for helping get all of the WorldSkills work out on time and exactly how the customer wanted it. The quantities were massive and the turnaround times were short but we met their demands and impressed everyone involved. Allen Benn in our shop went down to get his picture taken with Mike Holmes from the show "Holmes on Homes" but couldn't track down the super celeb and had to settle for a card board cut out! Maybe next time Al. The one thing I took away from the competition was a speaker I sat in on named Don Tapscott. His lecture was focused on the generation that is growing up in the new digital age and how our brains work differently that those of our parents. It was very intriguing and has inspired me to read one of his books. Google him and check out his list of literature I think you might find it interesting.
